TFD Opinions: Republican Presidential Nomination Odds September 27
Change from September 7 in parentheses:
8. Newt Gingrich 2% (+1)- The last few debates have been interesting. The second/third tier candidates that were seemingly dead in the water have revived their campaigns in some sense while Rick Perry has struggled. The only thing obvious at this point is that the nomination is up for grabs.
8. Rick Santorum 2% (+1)- As I said in the past, it's surprising that Santorum's very solid conservative credentials haven't gotten him any support. I still don't think he has a chance but it does seem that he's getting more attention in the debates and the collapse of Michele Bachmann in Iowa may give him a chance to win there.
