TFD Opinions: Hoffa and Taking Out Those Sons of Bitches

The typical FOX News faux outrage machine was running on high after Jimmy Hoffa Jr. said let's take these sons of bitches out. Of course, FOX News ignores or diminishes all claims regarding the dozens of times that Republicans have used incendiary language that could rile people up into violence. I won't bother going through all the examples, they're easy to find, especially if you listen to Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin. Here's the key though, this is Hoffa's full quote:

“Everybody here has a vote. If we go back and we keep the eye on the prize. Let’s take these sons of bitches out and give America back to America where we belong.”

Everybody here has a vote. When voting is clearly referenced 2 sentences before, it's pretty obvious what he's referring to and it's not violence. So not only was Hoffa not inciting violence in any way, but now thanks to FOX News and other conservatives, the clip was played out of context dozens of times and actually made it seem like a call to violence which will only go to further inflame both liberals and conservatives. Once again, the media fails to live up to its duty to inform not inflame.
