Gary Johnson: The Candidate That Stands Alone
Gary Johnson is the lone Republican presidential contender that approves START. I'm guessing that's just one of many disagreements that make him a long long long shot for the nomination. (AndrewSullivan)

Estate Tax Compromise
Person A works really hard for their income and makes 5 million dollars this year and pays 35% on their income. Person B does nothing and has a rich benefactor who dies and gives them 5 million dollars and they pay 0% on their unearned income. How does this make sense? (NYTimes)

Oregon's Easy Road to the Championship
An illustration of what's wrong with the BCS: Oregon may deserve to be in the title game but you wouldn't know it based on their schedule. They had the easiest path to the title game in the history of the BCS and didn't have one truly legitimate road victory. 1 loss Stanford lost @Oregon, 1 loss Ohio State lost @Wisconsin, 1 loss Wisconsin lost @Michigan State, and of course there's undefeated TCU that had a similar schedule problem. If Oregon had played @Stanford, would it be Stanford in the title game right now? Schedule luck shouldn't dictate championships. (SI)
