TFD Opinions: Bracketology

My picks...

Assuming Wisc win:
Midwest:
1. Kentucky- obvious even with a loss to Arkansas
2. Notre Dame- #8 overall, ACC conference champ, 2 wins each vs UNC and Duke
3. Kansas- #9 overall, razor thin margin between ND, Kansas, and Iowa State, Big 12 had harder schedules but lost more games
4. Northern Iowa- #14 overall
5. Louisville- #18 overall
6. Butler- #21 overall
7. Michigan State- #25 overall
8. Iowa- #30 overall

East:
1. Virginia- quality road wins @MD, VCU (pre-injury), ND, UNC, no losses outside top 20, affected by Justin Anderson injury who probably should be healthy, ACC regular season champ
2. Gonzaga- #7 overall, only 2 losses but no great wins
3. Iowa State- #10 overall
4. Arkansas- #16 overall
5. West Virginia- #17 overall
6. Providence- #22 overall
7. Xavier- #26 overall
8. Cincinnati- #32 overall

South:
1. Villanova- only 2 losses and a lot of top 50 wins but really not challenged outside of VCU early, conference champ
2. Duke- #5 overall, 4 losses including 2 to bubble level teams, no conference title, lots of impressive wins though, moved out of East to avoid ACC team
3. Maryland- #11 overall
4. Baylor- #15 overall
5. Wichita State- #19 overall
6. SMU- #23 overall
7. Oregon- #27 overall, moved from West to avoid Arizona
8. NC State- #31 overall, moved from East to avoid Virginia

West:
1. Wisconsin- bad loss vs Rutgers but was influenced by injuries, Big 10 champ, impressive resume and eye test but unbalanced Big 10 schedule with few games against good teams, no true quality road wins
2. Arizona- #6 overall, 3 bad losses, weak conference, conference champ, only 1 win vs. top 4 seed
3. Oklahoma- #12 overall
4. North Carolina- #13 overall
5. Utah- #20 overall
6. Georgetown- #24 overall
7. VCU- #28 overall
8. San Diego State- #29 overall
